We are proud to publish this annual report highlighting our achievements for the 2017–2018 fiscal year, which was filled with promising projects and achievements that supported the vitality and development of our Francophone and Acadian communities (FAC).

Our organization celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2017 and, to mark this occasion, RDÉE Canada’s whole team, its Board of Directors and all its members came together to underline the strength of our Network and, above all, reinforce its strategic positioning for the future.

Building on our strengths, we worked together to enhance the strategic role of the Board of Directors. We diversified our collaborations and worked to solidify our links with our donors. We created sustainable partnerships with key players in the economic and political sectors, always with the objective of developing our national economy.

Accordingly, we are proud to have earned the confidence of the Department of Canadian Heritage in developing the Heritage, Cultural and Tourism Corridor, a $2.4-million project that was the Government of Canada’s gift to the Francophonie for the 150th anniversary of Confederation. We also concluded a tripartite agreement with the Association des collèges et universités de la francophonie canadienne (ACUCFC) and the Commission nationale des parents francophones (CNPF) to ensure the development of French-language early childhood services emphasizing education, employability and entrepreneurship. Moreover, by consulting this Annual Report 2017–2018, you will be able to appreciate our successes and the extent of our accomplishments.

In closing, I wish to thank our government partners for their support and their trust. I also wish to acknowledge the work done by the directorate general and RDÉE Canada’s employees for their tireless efforts in support of the Network. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to our Board of Directors, a group of experts devoted to advancing our goals, for their dedication to our organization.
