To mark the 20th anniversary of RDÉE Canada, Randy Boissonnault, Member of Parliament for Edmonton Centre, Alberta, made a statement in the House of Commons.RDÉE CANADA'S 20TH ANNIVERSARYAchievementThe National Committee for Canadian Francophone Human Resources Development (NCCFHRD), created in 1996, was registered under the name currently known as “RDÉE Canada” in February 1997. To mark this special occasion, a dynamic and natural alliance for the Canadian Francophonie was concluded on March 20, 2017, the International Day of La Francophonie, with the Canadian Foundation for Cross-Cultural Dialogue.RDÉE CANADA SYMPSOSIUMRDÉE Canada held its annual general meeting and its biennial symposium in September 2017. On that occasion, the Network commemorated some key players in the organization’s genealogy and provided a status report on the economic development of Francophone and Acadian communities over the past 20 years.LAUCH OF THE STUDY ON THE SOCIOECONOMIC IMPACT OF RDÉE CANADALaunched in October 2017 as part of RDÉE Canada’s 20th anniversary, this accountability exercise drew a general profile of the national Network’s socioeconomic impact. It provided, on the one hand, an estimate of the economic impact of its activities and, on the other, a quantification of the socioeconomic gains associated with the services it offers to Canada’s Francophones and Acadians. This study has proven that the expertise the Network has developed clearly increases economic opportunities for FACs. The key finding was that the Network’s effect on society (in monetary terms) is four times greater (4.2) than the costs of the actions it carries out ($20.6 million). This exercise led to the design of a systematic approach to recording benefits for the future.Development of a personalized interface for each Network member, allowing them to automatically identify their impact and determine the socioeconomic benefits of their regional activities.-STUDYThe Network has developed clearly increases economic opportunities for FACs.CLICK HERE
